While the response to the upcoming Wahoo memorial in Pearl Harbor has been tremendous, many more who have a profound interest in the boat and her famous crew will be unable to attend. And if I weren't going I'd want to read and see anything and everything regarding the event. So, I created this blog to post my notes on the activities and the sights as they unfold.
If you're unfamiliar with the format, or wonder why I just don't post everything to the Wahoo Gazette, a blog is a tremendous time saver for putting things online. To update the Gazette, a lot of work is involved: creating pages; updating links; ftp-ing it all to the web server; sending out notices through the email list. That's why updates are so slow! With the War Fish Blog, all I have to do is write the text, insert an image or two, and hit "publish". The blog itself takes care of the rest. But enough of the technical stuff. Trust me when I tell you this will allow me to share what's going on while actually enjoying the event in progress.
Although we're still roughly three weeks out, I will be posting about the preparations and other things Wahoo related as they develop. So subscribe and stay tuned.
